This was the nicest cottage that we have ever stayed in. The welcome by the owner Annie was a lovely personal touch as well as the treats that she left us. The cottage was extremely well equipped and we could think of nothing that we could have wanted, or that could have improved it. Cooking in the kitchen was a real pleasure and sitting in front of the log burner with a glass of wine was just what was needed after exploring the lovely countryside. We found two great takeaways - Chinese & Indian in Tywyn and mid walk stopped at The Railway Inn at Abergynolwyn for a hearty lunch. A particularly good pub for us, as it allowed dogs inside too). The Precipice walk at Llanfachreth gave us breathtaking views and we also loved the wildness of Pont-Scethin. A thoroughly good holiday, lovely area and coming home to Tremfor at the end of each day was a delight. Mr R, Basingstoke, Hampshire 25 October 2010
Best ever cottage we have had the pleasure of staying in. Immaculate presentation, excellent attention to detail and cleanliness. Everything you need and more. Mr R, Basingstoke, Hampshire 18 October 2010
Annie (the owner) was there to greet us and give us the "grand tour". We got lots of useful information from her about places to go, and the best restaurants etc. This backed up the previous suggestions she had given is by e mail - and most surprisingly, by her telephone call prior to our holiday - was a lovely gesture.
We wiill almosy certainly be going back in the future and would recommend 'Tremfor' to anyone as an ideal place to stay for either a relaxing break or as a base for touring the beautiful countryside. Mr A, SCARBOROUGH 23 May 2010
Beautiful traditional cottage in a fabulous location. Mr E, LONDON 05 January 2010
We have stayed in many holidays cottages in the past but Tremfor is different in that is a real home from home. Mr B, STONE, Staffordshire 20 September 2009
Our stay at Tremfor was absolutely fantastic. We had everything we could have wished for and the cottage itself was purely magical. Tremfor is picture-card-perfect and the owner has done a superb job of creating a timeless and inspring retreat from the daily treadmill of life. The village of Llwyngwril is tranquil and friendly, and although this was our first visit, we felt as though we had been there many times before. This was a wonderful holiday and was unbelievably affordable. Mr C, WOLVERHAMPTON 22 July 2009
We had a wonderful stay at Tremfor. It is a truly magical cottage in a beautiful and tranquil setting. The cottage had everything we could wish for and really felt like home from home. The owner has done an outstanding job, creating a timeless and inspiring retreat from the daily treadmill of life. Its setting in the village of Llwyngwril is not only quaint but also very friendly. Barmouth, Harlech and Nantcol Waterfalls are nearby and all well worth visiting, not to mention a breathtaking walk across the estuary/railway bridge from Arthog to Barmouth Harbour! There is so much to do in this area, and Tremfor is the perfect cottage for retreat or exploration. Tremfor's kitchen deserves a review of its own, a real pleasure! Mr C, Wolverhampton, 21 July 2009
A great little cottage with everything provided. Annie the owner was there when we arrived and was ever so helpful, and she left a welcome pack with a bottle of Bucks Fizz. A great base for touring, helped of course by excellent weather! Mr B, WASHINGTON 28 June 2009
We had a lovely holiday at Tremfor. The owner created a real home from home and thought of everything that we could possibly require to make our stay enjoyable. The location was excellent with a great selection of walks and cycle routes nearby. Miss B, FORDINGBRIDGE, Hampshire 25 May 2009
Charming cottage in a quiet village within easy reach of lots of activities and places of interest. Mrs R, Reading 16 August 2008
We would happily recommend Tremfor in Llwyngwril, Wales. We had a great family holiday - location, cottage (clean, attractive and good facilities - all sorts of comforts considered) were all very good . Ms E, Hebden Bridge 02 August 2008
